Whilst Dungeons & Dragons Online will soon become a free-to-play title in North America; in Europe there are currently no such plans.

An upgrade will be released this summer which will allow those in North America to play the game for free, in Europe the MMORPG will remain as it is though, and users will continue to have to pay to play the game.

Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited is the game that North American gamers will be treated to for free, and whilst there will be a paid option which will unlock extra features; the basic no-frills game will be completely free to play. Good news for American gamers, not so fantastic fun for those of us that live in Europe.
