With the full band package setting you back about £150; Guitar Hero/Rock Band can be quite an expensive hobby to have. You can opt to purchase the game and guitar package, by doing so you’re losing out on two very fun components of the game though, and to buy the official equipment you will still need to shell out a fair amount extra in order to experience the game in its full glory. Right now Amazon is selling the Mad Catz Rock Band Portable Drum Kit for just £7.25 though and this therefore offers a very affordable way to kick off your plastic drumming career.
Right now you can buy Rock Band complete with the Mad Catz Portable Drum Kit and Microphone for just £33.97, or Rock Band 2 with the microphone and drum kit for just £46.97. This really is a great price for buying the game complete with its (arguably) best components, and a guitar can soon be sought out if needs be.
A review of the Mad Catz Rock Band Portable Drum Kit will soon be added to the site, if you don’t already have a drum kit for your fake plastic rock game of choice though then I’d definitely recommend investing in this piece of kit from Mad Catz.

A playable Bayonetta demo is to be released on December 3rd, with Platinum Games all set to release it online through the Playstation Network and Xbox Live throughout the United States and Europe.
Bayonetta has already hit the shelves in Japan, in Europe we’re going to have to wait until January to get our hands on the full game however, so it’ll be interesting to see what the demo can offer when it’s released next week.
Edge definitely approves of the game, awarding it a perfect score of 10/10, and it’ll be interesting to see whether or not the general public agree that the game is genuinely flawless when Bayonetta hits the stores early next year.

Well, not so long ago Song released a Slim-line PS3 and announced a 250GB, so Microsoft, bravely followed suit and (after a short leak on German Amazon) announced they would also be releasing a 250GB console. Well, there has been no confirmation if there will be any asthetic changes to the console, but what we do know, is this new console will be using the newest “Jasper” chip set, designed specifically to prevent RROD, so buy this new one when it comes out (at around £220) and you are almost confirmed that this console won’t get RROD. On the other hand, who the heck is gonna need all that memory? If you do need the memory or are just buying the console because it’s something new and shiny, I reckon it’d be a safe investment.

Well, with the release of this game this week (Friday in the UK) I thought it fitting to bring you all up to speed with it. This game comes as a add on bought through Xbox Live or on a disc along with The Lost and Damned (a pervious GTA add- on) just as an FYI for those of you who are going to go out and buy GTA:IV along with the add-on disc, there is no need (that is if you haven’t bought GTA:IV already.)
Pretty cool I think, anyway, the game. This add-on sees the return of the infamous parachute, something that was missing from GTA:IV. A welcome return for this frankly brilliant feature, the chute was a big thing in San Andreas letting you hop out of copters and plummet to the ground or jump off a huge building.
Rockstar have been keeping their cards rather close to their chests on this one so not much news or rumors have been floating about (similar to that of Modern Warfare 2) I’ll be getting a review to you guys as soon as I can.

A playable demo of Overlord II is now available for download at the Xbox Live Marketplace.
In the Overlord II playable demo you become the Overlord, and have a team of minions to help you accomplish your tasks. The demo begins as you defrost a Yeti, frozen in a block of ice, and you then give chase as the Yeti runs off in the snow.
If you liked the first Overlord game, then it’s probably well worth checking out the demo for the second. If you didn’t like the first game, why not give the demo a go anyway – what’s to lose?

The European release date for Red Faction Guerrilla for the Xbox360 and PS3 formats has been moved forward by a week, and the game will now be available to buy as of June 5th.
A singleplayer demo is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network, so if you’re interested in playing the game now then definitely do give that a download.
Unlike previous titles in the Red Faction series; Red Faction Guerrilla is a third-person shooter (TPS) as opposed to a first-person shooter (FPS), and is to be the third released game in the Red Faction series to date.
