New Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits character Calista Valenz has now been unveiled by Activision, and here she is:

Calista Valenz is tough as nails and sweet like candy, with a smile that can melt any man’s heart. Her motto is, “Fake it until you make it,” and she has a habit of telling strangers today is her birthday. Calista once volunteered to spend a week in jail for charity and was put behind bars on a Monday, got bored, and somehow escaped that Tuesday. She spent a month running from the law, even though no one was looking, and hid out at a night club. The rocker pretended to be a lead guitarist, and during her first show, a record promoter told her she was a no talent hack. She smacked him upside the head with a sausage and dumped spaghetti down his pants, all with a smile. He stood up and immediately signed her to a lifetime contract.

Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits will be out on the Nintendo DS in the summer, and will feature tracks from such top aritsts as Fall Out Boy, Coldplay, and Weezer. 25 master tracks will feature in total, and this will be, without doubt, the best handheld Guitar Hero game ever.

DS gamers are all set to get a second taste of Guitar Hero action this year as Activision unleashes Guitar Hero Modern Hits.

Comprising of more than 25 master tracks, the game will now feature Fan Requests, and completing these Fan Requests will unlock special challenges such as whammying every single hold note in a song, and completing tracks in Hyperspeed.

The game will include tracks by such artists as Fall Out Boy, Tenacious D, and Coldplay, and Modern Hits will allow you to rock out to some of the greatest modern rock tracks of the last five years.

A release date is yet to be confirmed, but one thing is most definitely for sure; if you own a DS, Guitar Hero Modern Hits is a title that you’ll really not want to miss out on.
