As you might have already heard there is a bug circulating the PS3 networks. It’s an internal bug to do with the systems calendar, it occurs when the clock ticks over from 28/2/10 to 1/3/10, instead the calendar is reset to the golden days of 31/21/99 (kinda like the Y2K but just 10 years too late), the reason is unknown, however millions of players are not turning their consoles for fear that the internal hard drive will be wiped and their trophies will be lost. The bug hasn’t affected players using the Slim line (marketing ploy) consoles, suggesting that the error is internal and not to do with the PSN. This screw-up has come at a particularly bad time, when the PlayStation exclusive Heavy Rain has just been released, probably the biggest PS exclusive to date. I have to say, I think Sony know alot more than they are letting on. If you want my advice, don’t turn your fat PS3 on and play it safe.
